Learn Ayurvedic head and scalp treatments and massages based on the three Doshas. Learn to use herbal medicated powders added to warm ghee, milk and base oils such as sesame, sweet almond, avocado, and/or castor for Vata scalps and learn to use an aromatic hot towel wrap. The Pitta treatment is also excellent for migraine and tension headaches, and for neck and shoulder pain. The Kapha treatment is recommended for preservation and maintenance, and aids in times of depression, lethargy, and boredom.
